Applications are invited for the post of PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER in the Institute. The details of the qualifications, experience and remuneration are given below:

Essential Qualification and Experience :

• A post graduate degree with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade with diploma in Mass Communication.
• A minimum experience of 10 years in a responsible position out of which 5 years in the area of public relations/ press relation, organizing conferences/seminar/symposia etc, employee, community and campus relation; advertising and publicity. Proven organizing abilities are essential. Should be capable of making arrangements of visits for important visitors including hospitality, looking after all press and publications (technical & nontechnical) of the Institute including editing. Practical experience of using relevant software in related area is essential.
• Scale of Pay : Rs.1000032515200. Total emoluments on the minimum of the pay scale is Rs.19650/p.m. excluding HRA.
• Age Limit : Preferably below 45 years (Age is relaxable for internal candidates and SC/ST/OBC/PH as per rules)
• General Conditions :
• The number of years of experience and the age are relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority in exceptional cases.
• The Institute reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reasons.
• No interim correspondence will be entertained.
  
• Persons employed in government and semigovernment organization must apply through proper channel.
  
• Candidates other than those belonging to SC/ST communities/PH must send a Demand draft of Rs.100/drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Mumbai, in favour of Registrar, IIT Bombay alongwith the application.
  
• Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed upto 2nd AC rail fare from the place of residence to the Institute and back by the shortest route on production of the proof of onward journey or return journey (atleast xerox copy of the ticket/receipt). Railway fare will not be paid on the spot, but will be reimbursed subsequently.
• Application forms and information sheet are obtainable from the Registrar, Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai 400 076 by sending a self addressed stamped envelope of Rs.16/(size of 26 x 11cm).
