A certificate in Library Science form a recognized Institution, and
3 years practical experience in binding work in a registered commercial from recognized by Got. or Govt. Organistation.

Job Requirement:- To examine and sorting of books according to the method of treatment required. Binding of books by conventional method. Handling and preparation of brittle books files, signature pads, registers etc. Any other duties may be assigned from time to time by the Superior and as per RRs, as amended form time to time.

Job Requirement:-To organize exhibitions. To keep an account of the various exhibts. To prepare various graphs, line plan, charts etc. To maintain as account of the photographs, portraits, organisation in organising their exhibitions, as and when requested to do so. To arrange borrowing of special exhibts form other Institutions. To take care of the devices for displaying objects viz tables, shelves, bookcases, display racks for books or magazines etc. other display work as an when required and as per RRs, as amended form time to time.

Category No: ER-09: Library & Information Assistant (Language) No. of Posts: 4 (UR-03/OBC-01) {Language wise break-up: Arabic & Persian (UR-01) Marathi (UR-01), Gujrati (RU-01) and Tamil (OBC-01)

A bachelor's degree form a recognized University.
A Degree in Library Science form a recognized University, and
Proficiency in the language concerned at the Matriculation or equivalent level form a recognized Board.

Job Requirement:- Classifying, Cataloging and accessioning of new books, re-cataloging of old books, correcting proof for printed catalogues, dealing with loan of books to both local and mofussil borrowers, supplying information to and dealing with readers, other technical matters etc. and as per RRs, as amended form time to time.

Department:-Geological Survey of India, (Central Headquarters, Eastern Region, and marine wing), Kolkata.
Age:- 18-25 year. (Age relaxation is admissible as per instructions)
Pay Scale:- Rs. 5000-8000/
Essential Qualification:-
aster's degree form a recognized university in hindi or english with english or hindi as a main subject at the degree level or Master degree form a recognized university in any subject with Hindi as the Medium and examination with English as a compulsory subject at Degree level or Bachelor's degree with hindi and english as main subject or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject plus recognized diploma or certificate course in translation form hindi to english and vice versa or two years experience of translation work form hindi to english and vice versa in central government offices, including government of India Undertakings.

NOTE:- Qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Staff Selection Commission/ Competent Authority in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Job Requirement:- To translate scientific literature, abstracts and other official documents form English to Hindi and vice versa. Operations on computer bilingually, drafting letters in English and Hindi, maintaining correspondence with other departments. Proof reading, editing, assistance in the production of in-house journals and compilation of data and information and as per RRs, as amended form time to time.
Special Instruction: VH candidate need not apply.
