Recruitment of constable (Tradesman) in BSF.

Applications are invited only from the Male candidates belonging to Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh (UT) states for the post of Constable (Tradesman) in BSF on temporary basis likely to be made permanent in the pay scale of Rs. 3050-75-3950-80-4590 plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Govt. employees form time to time.

  • Cobbler:- Punjab 04, Haryana 03
  • Tailor:- Punjab 04, Haryana 04
  • Carpenter:- Punjab 02, Haryana 01
  • Vacancies may vary/ alter on administrative ground.
  • Age:- Between 18 to 23 years as on the last date of submission of application, Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  • Educational/ other qualifications. VIII the pass with 2 years working experience in respective trade. OR One year certificate from industrial Training Institute/ Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade. OR Two years Diploma form Industrial Training Institute in the trade.

Application in the prescribed format either by type written or neatly hand written only in HINDI or ENGLISH filled up on one side of foolscap plain paper with recent passport size photographs attested by a GO/School/College Principal/ SHO of Police Station, securely pasted and not pinned/ stapled on application form be sent to Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters, Border Security Force, Jalandhar Cantt (Punjab), Pin 144006, so as to reach not later than 20 March’ 2007 through ordinary post alongwith necessary documents:-

  • Head Constable( Ministerial):- 308 Posts ( UR-67 /OBC-137/ SC-62/ST-42)
    • Pay Scale:- Rs. 3200-85-4900
    • Qualification:-
      • Senior Secondary School Certificate ( 10+2) examination or Intermediate Or equivalent examination of a Recognized Board/ University. OR Matriculation with three years ‘Diploma in Secretarial Practice or modern office practice or Commercial practice from a recognized Board of Technical education.
      • 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi
    • Should have basic knowledge in Computer Application.
  • Closing date of receipt of application is 28 Feb’ 2007 in general and 15 Mar’2007 for the candidates belonging to far flung areas.
