Applications are invited for recruitment on regular basis to following 147 posts of Medical Officers (Specialist) in various specialities which are lying vacant in the institutions of Health Department Punjab. The speciality wise number of vacancies is as follows:

• Gynecology: 40 Posts
• Pediatric: 40 Posts
• Radiology: 29 Posts
• Medicine: 20 Posts
• Blood Transfusion Officer: 10 Posts
• Psychiatry: 06 Posts
• Anesthesia: 02 Posts
• Pay: Rs. 7880-13500 with a start of Rs. 8000/-+ allowances as per Punjab Government Rules.
• Qualification:
  
• M.B.B.S. Degree and Holding a Post Graduate Degree in (MS/MD) of requisite speciality, recognized by the Medical Council of India, who shall be appointed as Medical Officer (Specialist) in that particular speciality
• Registered with the Punjab Medical Council or with any other duly constituted Medical Council of India and
• Knowledge of Punjabi language up to matriculation standard, Candidates who do not possess the qualification shall have to acquire this qualification within six month of their joining the service failing which their services shall be terminated.
