Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Geologists' Examination 2008 commencing from 6th December, 2008 for recruitment to the following posts:

• Geologist (Jr.), Group "A" in the Geological Survey of India.
  
• Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist "B") Group 'A' and
  
• Assistant Hydrogeologist, Group 'B' in the Central Ground Water Board.
• Eligibility Conditions:
  
• Age: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2008.
• Qualification:
  
• Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology; OR
• Master's Degree in Mineral Exporation (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), OR
• Master's Degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in Central Ground Water Board only) from a recognized University; OR
• Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
  
• Fee: Rs. 100/ through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
  
• Last Date: 14.07.08
