The UPSC will hold an Examination on 05.10.08 for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in Central Police Forces (CPF) viz. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seems Bal (SSB). The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

• Eligibility Conditions:
  
• Age: Candidates must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 1st August, 2008. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and Certain other categoires of candidates to the extent specified in the notice.
• Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
• Application form: The candidates must apply in the common application form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (specified in Appendix -III of the Notice published in the Employment news dated 10.05.08) throughout the county against cash payment of Rs. 20/- Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination.
• Examination Fee: The examination Fee will be Rs 100/- to be paid through central recruitment fee stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee)
• Last Date: 09.06.08 (16.06.08 for candidates from far-flung areas)
