Set up by the Government of Punjab in 1995 under the Department of Industries & Commerce, NIIFT, Mohali invites applications for faculty positions in Mohali & Ludhiana Centre.

• Assistant Professors : 13 Posts
• Fashion/ Textile/ Knitwear Design: 05
• Qualification: UG/PG Diploma or Degree in Fashion/ Textiles/ Knitwears/ Apparels Design from NID/ NIFT/ NIIFT or any other reputed Institute or M.Sc. (clothing & textiles) with at least 3 years relevant experience in a reputed organization.
• Garment Manufacturing Technology: 01
• Qualification: PG Diploma in Garment Manufacturing Technology from NID/ NIFT/ NIIFT or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute with atleast 3 years experience in a reputed organization.
• Industrial Pattern Maker: 01
  
• Qualification: Diploma from NIFT or any other reputed Institute with 3 years relevant experience OR Matric with minimum 10 years experience as Pattern Maker in an industry with thorough knowledge of creating original patterns from sketch/ photograph. Ability to grade sizes essential. Should have thorough knowledge of Pattern Making techniques for industrial Production. Preference to candidate with knowledge of CAD.
• Computer: 01
• Qualification: B.Tech. (Computers) OR B.Tech. (Information Technology) or MCA from any recognized University with atleast 2 years relevant experience from reputed organization.
• Marketing/ management/ Retail/ Merchandising: 02
• Qualification: MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Apparel Marketing & Merchandising from NIFT or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute with at least 2 years experience in a reputed organization.
• Textile Technology/ Textile Chemistry: 02
• Qualification: B.Tech/ M.Tech. in Textile Technology/ Textile Chemistry or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute with at least 3 years experience in a reputed organization.
  
• Fine Arts: 01
• Qualification: BFA/ MFA with MA (History of Arts) from any recognized university with 2 years experience in a reputed organization.
• The appointment for initial one years will be on contract on a consolidated salary or Rs. 15000/ per month. However, higher emoluments/ scale cn also be considered in case of candidates possessing exceptionally higher caliber.
• The UG Diploma/ Degree and PG Diploma/ Degree shall be of at least 3 years/ 4 years and 2 years duration respectively.
• All Degrees and Diplomas prescribed for the teaching positions shall be a full time course from an Institute of National/ International repute.
