Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2008
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold a combined graduate level examination, 2008 on Sunday, the 27th July, 2008 for selecting candidates for main examination. The main examination is likely to be held in 1st half of 2009 for the following categories.
- Inspector (Central Excise)/ Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner) in Custom Houses, (Group 'B', Non-Gazetted) in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10500 and Inspector of Posts in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000
- Assistant (Group 'B', Non-Gazetted post) for offices/ organizations like Central Secretariat Services (CSS), Railway Board, Election Commission of India, Central Vigilance Commission in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10500 and also in the other Departments/ Offices, viz Ministry of External Affairs, AFHQ, Department of Tourism etc. in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000
- Inspector of Income Tax, Assistant Enforcement Officers (Group 'C', Non-Gazetted) in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10500 and Sub-Inspector in CBI in the pay scale of R.s 5500-9000
- Divisional Accountant in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000, Auditors/ Jr. Accountant in the pay scale of Rs. 4500-7000 and UDC in the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000 in various Central Government Departments/ Offices.
- Last Date: 02.05.08 (09.05.08 for candidates from far-flung areas)
