• Doctorate degree with a first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology;
  
• Ten years’ experience in Teaching/Research/Industry out of which 5 years’ must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
2. DIRECTOR OF CINCHONA AND OTHER MEDICINAL PLANTS, WEST BENGAL : One
   
• PAY : Rs. 14,300/- - 18,300/-.
  
• QUALIFICATIONS : Essential –
  
• Doctorate degree or first class Master’s degree in Botany or Chemistry;
  
• 5 years’ experience in research work in Botany or Chemistry corroborated by publication of paper or papers on the subject;
  
• 5 years’ experience either in the cultivation of medicinal plants or in the manufacture of medicinal products from Cinchona or other medicinal plants;
  
• Administrative experience.
3. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FOR GOVT. ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGES IN THE W.B.G.S. : One (reserved for B.C. candidates)
   
• PAY : Rs. 12,000/- - 18,300/-.
  
• QUALIFICATIONS : Essential –
  
• Doctorate degree with a first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology;
  
• Three years’ experience in Teaching/Research/Industry in the appropriate field at the level of Lecturer or equivalent.
4. ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR IN W.B. ELECTRICITY SERVICE : Three (One each reserved for S.C., S.T. and B.C. candidates).
   
• PAY : Rs. 10,000/- - 15,525/-.
  
• QUALIFICATIONS : Essential –
  
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  
• Eight years practical experience in an electrical engineering workshop or electrical power station;
  
• Thorough working knowledge of actual generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy;
  
• Ability to take accurate observation of electrical test, to test and calibrate A.C. and D.C. electrical instruments;
  
• Ability to prepare electrical schemes with estimate.
5. DEPUTY DAIRY MANAGER (QUALITY CONTROL) IN W.B. DAIRY DEVELOPMENT SERVICE : One (reserved for S.C. candidates).
   
• PAY : Rs. 8,000/- - 13,500/-.
  
• QUALIFICATIONS : Essential –
  
• Second class M.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry or Organic Chemistry or degree or diploma in Dairy Science/Dairy Technology/Food Engineering/Food Technology, plus Post Graduate degree or diploma in Bacteriology or Microbiology;
  
• Three years’ experience of work or research in quality control laboratory of a modern dairy plant.
6. SENIOR CARTOGRAPHER UNDER THE DEPTT. OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, GOVT. OF W.B. : One
   
• PAY : Rs. 8,000/- - 13,500/-.
  
• QUALIFICATIONS : Essential –
• Master degree with a minimum of 55% marks in Geography/Geology/Geo-Physics or its equivalent.
  
• Two years’ experience as Cartographer in any Government Department/Statutory Body/Government undertaking or any private organization of repute.
7. STATISTICAL OFFICER UNDER THE DIRECTORATE OF ANIMAL RESOURCES & ANIMAL HUSBANDRY (ANIMAL RESOURCES WING) IN W.B.G.S. : Two (One reserved for S.T. candidates).
   
• PAY : Rs. 8,000/- - 13,500/-.
  
• QUALIFICATIONS : Essential –
  
• Master’s degree in Statistics or equivalent; OR Master’s degree in Economics/Mathematics/Agriculture/Veterinary Science/Dairy Husbandry/Animal Husbandry with post-graduate diploma in Statistics;
  
• Three years’ experience in collection, compilation and interpretation of statistical data; (iii) Knowledge of Bengali – spoken and written.
8. RESEARCH OFFICER, SOIL MECHANICS SECTION – GROUP –‘B’ IN THE RIVER RESEARCH INSTITUTE, W.B. UNDER I & W. DEPTT., GOVT. OF W.B. IN W.B.G.S. – Two (One reserved for S.C. candidates).

9. PROGRAMME-CUM-DOCUMENTATION OFFICER, RAJYA CHARUKALA PARSHAD under the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal - One

• QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL :
  
• Must have a Degree;

• A degree in Agriculture or Honours or Master’s degree in Chemistry;
