Applications are invited from Indian Nationals to fill up the following vacancies in Delhi Police in the following category:
- ASI (Stenographer) (Spl. Rectt. Drive): 03 Posts ST (Backlog)
- Pay: Rs. 4500-125-7000/-
- Qualification:
- Graduate form a recognized University or equivalent.
- Speed in English Shorthand 80 wpm speed in English Typing 40 wpm OR
- Speed in Hindi 80 wpm speed in Hindi Typing 30 wpm
- Preference: Working knowledge of
- Accounts & Office Procedure.
- knowledge of Drafting and office procedure.
- Age: 18-25 years as on 01.07.07 (30 years for ST/ 45 years for departmental ST category candidates/ Ex-servicemen, as per rules.
- Physical Standard:
- Male candidates: 165 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST candidates.
- Female candidates: 157 cms. relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST
- Chest:
- Male candidates: 78-82 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST
- No chest standard for female candidates.
- Head Constable (Ministerial): 70 Posts (UR 42/ OBC 09/ SC 12/ ST 07)
- Pay: Rs. 3200-85-4900/-
- Qualification:
- Higher Secondary or equivalent
- Speed in English typing 30 wpm or Hindi typing 25 wpm
- Preference: working knowledge of Accounts & Office Procedure.
- Age: 18-25 years as on 01.07.07 (28 years for OBC/ 30 years for SC/ST/ 40, 43 & 45 years for Departmental UR, OBC & SC/ST category candidates respectively/Ex-servicemen, as per rules.
- Physical Standard:
- Male candidates: 165 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST candidates.
- Female candidates: 157 cms. relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST
- Chest:
- Male candidates: 78-82 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST
- No chest standard for female candidates.
- Constable (Driver): 858 Posts (UR 545/ OBC 121/ SC 129/ ST 63)
- Pay: Rs. 3050-75-3950-80-4590/-
- Qualification:
- Matric (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Should be able to drive heavy vehicles with confidence.
- Current driving licence for heavy motor vehicle.
- Should possesses knowledge of maintenance of vehicles.
- Age: 21-30 years as on 01.08.07 (33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC/ST and departmental candidates/ Ex-Servicemen, as per rules)
- Physical Standard:
- Height: 170 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST
- Chest: 81-85 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas/ ST
- Last Date: 23.11.07 up to 6.00 pm
The detailed information regarding various tests i.e. physical endurance & mesurement, trade, written, computer and interview etc, and medical standards prescribed for the post(s) will be provided along with application form, which may obtained in person from 13.11.07 to 22.11.07 between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on all working days at Prov. & Logistics, Old Plice Lines (nesr Tis Hazari Courts), 5, Rajpur Road, Delhi at a cost of Rs. 50/- and free of cost for SC/ST candidates & ex-servicemen on production of an attested copy of caste/ discharge certificate issued by the competent authority.
The duly filled applicatin form will be deposited at Prov. & Logistics, Old Plice Lines (nesr Tis Hazari Courts), 5, Rajpur Road, Delhi upto 4.00 pm daily on all working days and on 23.11.07 up to 6.00 pm.
