Engagement of Pilots on Contract Basis
JNPT intends to engage Pilots on contract basis on the following Terms:

- Qualification and Experience:
- Essential: Certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going Ship) issued by Ministry of Shipping and one years experience as Chief Officer of Foreign Going Ships or Ex-Naval Executive Officer in possession of a Watch Keeping Certificate with minimum of 6 years sea service.
- Desirable: knowledge of Hindi
- Age: 45 years as on 1st July 2007, Age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of OBC's. Age can be further relaxed for deserving candidates.
- Training: The selected candidates will have to undergo training and pass the required tests as prescribed in the JNPT regulations.
- Emoluments:
- Training: Rs. 50000/- Per Month
- 10000 GRT: Rs. 120000/- Per Month
- 15000 GRT: Rs. 120000/-Per Month
- 20000 GRT: Rs. 130000/- Per Month
- 25000 GRT: Rs. 140000/- Per Month
- 30000 GRT: Rs. 150000/- Per Month
- 40000 GRT: Rs. 150000/- Per Month
- Full Tonnage: Rs. 168000/- Per Month
- Period of Contract: Initially for 3 years and extendable up to another tow years.
- Termination of Contract: 1 month notice by either side.
- Other terms & conditions can be discussed at the time of Interview.
Please bring original testimonials in support of age, qualifications, experience and caste status, along with attested copies and two passport size photographs. Candidates working in Govt./ Semi Govt./ Other Major Port/ Public Sector Undertaking should bring a "No Objection Certificate".
