It is proposed to fill up temporary and time bound positions of Research Associates on contract basis under sub project entitled "Enhancement of Livelihood Security Through Sustainable Farming System and Related Farm Enterprises in North-west-Himalaya" of National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) on the basis of walk in interview. Accordingly, the eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for personal interview at Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan (ICAR), Almora on 31.08.2007 and 01.09.2007

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Ag.)/ Ph.D. in Agroumomy/ Agro-forestry/ Horticulture/ Vegetable Science/ Fisheries/ Agricultural Extension/ Soil Science/ Agricultural Chemistry/ Plant Pathology/ Entomology/ Agricultural Economics/ Home Science. M.Tech/ Ph.D. in Soil Water Conservation Engineering/ Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/ Farm Machinery and Power Engieering/ Agricultural Process and Structure Engineering. Master Degree/ Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/ Rural Management/ Computer Application in Agriculture/ Post Harvest Technology.
• Desirable Qualification: Experience in hill farming systems development, transfer of technology, rural livelihood in hill agriculture and working with hill farmers and computer skills is desirable. In the filed of Pathology/ Entomology experience in apiary/ mushroom/ sericulture is desirable.
• Emoluments: Rs. 115000/- Fixed + HRA per month for Master Degree Holder. Rs. 12000/- (fixed) + HRA per month for Doctoral Degree Holder.
• Age: Below 35 years as on the date of Interview (Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per norms).
