Applications (on-line on the website of Chandigarh Police chandigarhpolice.nic.in) are invited from the candidates to fill up below mentioned 270 temporary posts of Constable (male/female) in Chandigarh Police in the pay scale of Rs.3120-5160 (with initial start of Rs.3330) with usual allowances as admissible from time to time, under the rules:-

• Male : 202 Posts (UR 089 / SC 031/ OBC 055/ Exm 027)
• Female: 68 Posts (UR 040/ SC 010/ OBC 018)
• Age 18 to 23 year(as on 1-1-2007)
• Minimum Educational Qualification: 10+2(as on 1-1-2007)
• Pay scale: Rs.3120-5160 (with initial start of Rs.3330)
• Last date for applying for the post of constable is 15-9-2007 and only on-line applications would be accepted. Candidates can apply on line till 12 midnight on 15-9-2007 and the last date 28-9-2007 is only for the purpose of sending downloaded hard copy of application form through registered post or deposit in Police Lines Sector 26, Chandigarh.
