SAIL invites applications for the post of Junior Manager(Projects) from young and result-oriented engineers with experience in the areas of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering. The compensation package on cost to company basis would be around Rs.4 lakh per annum. The posts are in E-1 Grade and Scale of Pay of Rs.10,750 -4%- 16,750/- with other allowances and benefits applicable to the grade. Salary revision is due from January, 2007.

• Qualification : B.Tech/ B.E./ B.Sc(Engg.) Degree (full time) in any of the following engineering disciplines from recognised university/institute :
• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Civil
• Age : Born not earlier than August 1, 1975 (Upper age limit of 32 years is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates). Those domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 1/1/80 to 31/12/89 will be allowed 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.
• Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s website: www.sail.co.in. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted.
• The online registration is opened from August 14, 2007 to September 4, 2007.
• After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details with space for passport size photograph & signature. In order to save the data entered, applicants should click on the “save” button and then print the Registration Slip. The Original Registration Slip, Demand Draft with the name of the candidate duly written on the back of DD and a self-attested copy of Caste/Physically Handicapped certificate (for reserved category only) is to be sent, by ORDINARY POST (since post bag do not accept letter by registered post) to Steel Authority of India Limited, Post Bag No. 10, Lodi Road Post Office, New Delhi -110003, so as to reach latest by September 12, 2007. Candidates should take special care NOT to staple the demand draft. Candidate may use steel pin (if required).
