F.No. 3/4/2007-P&P-I. Staff Selection Commission will hold on 18.11.2007 an open competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Tax Assistant (a Group 'C' non-Gazetted, Ministerial post in the pay-scale of Rs. 4000-6000) for filling up vacancies in various Commissionerates of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC).

• Tax Assistant: 1474 Posts Approx. in CBEC. Vacancies from CBDT awaited.
• Age: 20-27 years as on 17-08-07 (normal closing date for receipt of application)
• Qualification:
• Graduate in any disciplines from any recognized University.
• Should possess Data Entry Speed of 8000 key Depressions Per hour on computer.
• Fee: Rs. 100/- No fee for SC/ST/PH and Ex-S.m.
• Closing date: The last date for receipt of application in the concerned Regional Office of the Commission will be 17-08-2007 (5.00 pm.) and 24.08.2007 (5pm) in the case of candidtes residing in remote areas.
