The Rural Institute fo Medical Sciences & Research, Saifai, Etawah is an autonomous institute established on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow,
Walk-in-Interviews will be conducted form 9th July 2007 to 25th July 2007. Eligible candidates will have to appear before the selection committee with original certificates- Venue of interview is RIMS&R, Saifai, Etawah Administrative Block.

Essential Qualifications for Faculty Positions:
- A Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfill the conditions specified in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act, aforesaid). A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D. or a recognized qualification equivalent there to.
- Professor (Sr. Grade):
- As Reader/ Associate Professor in the Deptt. for four years in a recognized medical college.
- Desirable: Minimum of four research publications indexed in index Medicus/ national journal and one research publication in International Journal.
- Professor (Jr. Grade):
- The candidates should have teaching experience in the concerned specialty for 10 years in a recognized medical college.
- Associate Professor:
- As Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in the Deptt. for five years in a recognized medical college.
- Desirable: Minimum of four Research publications indexed in index Medicus/ National Journals.
- Assistant Professor:
- Requisite recognized postgraduate qualification in the subject.
- Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college as Resident/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Tutor.
- Pay Scale:
- Professor (Sr. Grade): Rs. 18400-500-22400 (Total Emoluments Rs. 50714.00)
- Professor (Jr. Grade): Rs. 16400-450-20000 (Total Emoluments Rs. 45474.00)
- Associate Professor: Rs. 14300-400-18300 (Total Emoluments Rs. 39972.00)
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 11625-325-15200 (Total Emoluments Rs. 32962.00)
- Retirement age is 65 years. Age limit will be relaxed for retired personnel and suitable candidates.
- Selected Candidates will have to join immediately.
- Persons may also be considered for contractual appointment in case selection committee so recommends.
- The number of posts indicated above are provisional and subject to change without prior notice.
- Number of vacancies will be filled as per the availability of candidates of different categories in unspecified vacancies of different specialties/ departments.
- Reservation and Age relaxation for all the reserved category candidates as per U.P. Govt. Rules.
- Civil & Ex. Army retired personnel can also apply.
- All the faculty will be provided Govt. accommodation and the pension of pensioners will be protected.
- Reservation norms for category (SC/ST/OBC) will be determined as per notification of U.P. Govt. only.
- Candidates should submit demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of Finance Officer, Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Saifai, Etawah at the time fo interview.
