Applications are invited from the Male candidates belonging to Gujarat and Maharastra States for the post of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the pay scale of Rs. 3050-75-3950-80-4590/- plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Govt. Employees from time to time. In addition Ration allowance, Medical assistance, free uniform, free accomodation, free leave pass etc are admissible. The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. They will be governed under BSF Act & Rules as well as CCS Rules.

• Gujarat:
• Open for all Districts of State: 172 Total (UR 88/ SC 12/ ST 26/ OBC 46)
• Reserve for border Distt. of Kuchch, Patan and Banaskautha
• Maharastra:
• Open for all Distts of State: 329 Posts total (UR 177/ SC 33/ ST 30/ OBC 89)
• Reserved for Naxalite/ militancy effected distts (Garhchiroli/ Godia/ Chandrapur/ Bhandara) : 30 Posts total (UR 16/ SC 03/ ST 03/ OBC 08)
• Age: 18-23 years as on 01.08.2007. Upper age limit relaxable by as per govt. rules
• Educational qualification: Matriculation or equivalent (minimum)
• Last Date: 20.07.2007
