RESEARCH POSITIONS
Applications on plain paper are invited for following positions in a DBT-funded research project entitled “Mapping and Quantitative Assessment of Geographic Distribution and Population Status of Plant Resources of Eastern Himalayan Region”. The assignment offers an opportunity to blossom in all-weather challenging conditions of field work in Meghalaya and Assam especially for SRF/JRF and Technical Assistants. - Research Associate: 01 Post
- Monthly emoluments: Rs. 11,000/-*
- Qualifications: Candidates with knowledge of computer programming and database development, and experience of GIS and Remote Sensing.
- Data Entry Operator: 01 Post
- Monthly emoluments: Rs. 6,000/-**
- Qualifications: Postgraduate (or graduate) with certificate/diploma in computer applications/ programming and with understanding of plant scientific names.
- Senior/Junior Research Fellow# (SRF/JRF): 02 Posts
- Monthly emoluments: Rs. 8,000/-*
- Qualifications: M.Sc. (preferably with first division) in Ecology/Forestry/Taxonomy/ Botany or allied subjects. Candidates with NET and prior research experience shall be preferred.
- Technical Assistant#: 02 Posts
- Monthly emoluments: Rs. 5,000/-**
- Qualifications: M. Sc. in Ecology/Forestry/ Taxonomy/Botany or allied subjects.
