COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2007
[INCLUDING SSC WOMEN (NON-TECHNICAL) COURSE]

The Union Public Service Commission will hod the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II), 2007 on 16th September, 2007 for Admission to Indian Military Academy, naval Academy and Air Foce Academy for the Courses Commencing in July, 2008 and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the Courses (Men and Women) commencing in October, 2008.
  • Conditions and Eligibility:
    • Age Limites, Sex and Marital Status:
      • For Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1984 and not later than 1st July, 1989 only are eligible.
      • For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1986 (2nd July, 1984 in case of NCC Naval Wing 'C' Certificate holders) and not later than 1st July, 1989 only are eligible.
      • For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1985 and not later than 1st July, 1989 only are eligible.
      • For Officer's Training Academy: (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July 1983 and not later than 1st July 1989 only are eligible.
      • For Officers' Training Academy: SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course:
        • Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1983 and not later than 1st July, 1989
        • Widows of Defence Personnel who have died in harness, (including thoe with children) are also eligible if they have not remarried. They will be granted age-relaxation of four years in the upper age limit i.e. they should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1979 and not later than 1 July 1989
    • Educational Qualifications:
      • For Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent.
      • For Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
      • For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
      • For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. Candidates who are studying in final years Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing by the specified dates published in Commission's Notice for Examination.
  • Application Form:
    • The candidates must apply in the common application form advised by the Commission for its examinations, whcih can be purchased form the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (Please see details) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-. Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination. In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application forms from the designated HPOs/ POs, the candidates should immediatley contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC's "Forms Supply Monitoring Cell" Over Telephone No. 011-23389366/Fax No. 011-23387310
  • Fee:
    • Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRF) only. SC/ST candidates are exempted form payment of Fees. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fees).
All applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi- 110069" either by hand or by post/ speed post or by courier, on or before the 21st May, 2007
