- Essential Qualification:
- Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master's Degree Level in the Relevant subject form an Indian University or equivalent Degree from a Foreign University.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC (i.e. SLET etc.)
- Essential qualification for technical branches (i.e. information technology and computer)
- First Class BE/B.Tech in appropriate branch of Technology or First Class Master's Degree in appropriate branch of Technology (i.e. IT and Computer) First Class M.C.A. is also eligible for the post of Assistant Professor in Computer.
- Desirable: knowledge in Bengali and Kok-Barak.
- Age: up to 45 years as on 31.03.2007 as per Notification No. F. 1(435)-DHE/Estt(G)/01(L) dated 20.01.2007
- Pay Scale: Rs. 8000-275-13500 plus admissible allowances (Revised UGC pay scale 1996) subject to revision by the Government from time to time.
- Application form may be procured:
- on all working days form 10.30 am to 1.30 pm from the office of the T.P.S.C. at Agartala either in person or
- by post on payment of prescribed fees mentioned below by Indian Postal Order payable to "The Secretary, TPSC." at Agartala Head Post Office or by Bank Draft/ Banker Cheque drawan in favour of "The Secretary, T.P.S.C." payable at any branch of Nationalized Bank at Agartala or
- May be down loaded from its official website and submitted along with the required amount of fees in the manner as indicated.
- Application form is also available by post on written request to the Secretary, T.P.S.C. Agartala indicating name of post along with the Application Fees as prescribed and self addressed stamped envelope (size 28 Cms. X 12 Cms.) with requisite postage stamps affixed thereon on or before 15.03.2007
- Mode of Payment of Fees:
- Group - B Posts: Rs. 150/ only for General
- Rs. 75 for ST/SC/BPL Cardholders/ Physically Handicapped candidates.
