A walk-in-interview is proposed to be hled at CSSRI, Karnal on up the following temporary posts:
- Name of the Project/ Duration:
- "Application of Micro organisms in Agriculture and Allied Sectors" (Up to 31.03.2008)
- Name of the Posts/ No. of Posts: S.R.F /02 Posts
- Essential/ Desirable Qualification:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Agricultural Microbiology/ Biotechnology
- Desirable: Knowledge of isolation and characterization of microbes from soil and water contaminated with heavy metals and bioremediation of waste water for heavy metals through microbes.
- Age: 35 years for Men and 40 years for women candidates. relaxation 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.

- ICAR Network project on "Transgenics in Crops" (Upto March 2008. likely to continue)
- Name of the Posts/ No. of Posts: S.R.F./ 01 Post
- Essential/ Desirable Qualification:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Plant biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Biochemistry
- Desirable: Experience on application of molecular tools for crop improvement.
- Age: 35 years for Men and 40 years for women candidates. relaxation 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.

- Essential/ Desirable Qualification:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Plant Physiology.
- Desirable: Experience on working in breeding for salt tolerance in crop plants.
- Age: 35 years for Men and 40 years for women candidates. relaxation 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.
- Name of the Project/ Duration:
- (MoWR) INCID "Control of water-logging and Salinity through Agre forestry interventions" (Up to 15.10.10)
- Name of the Posts/ No. of Posts: J.R.F. Research Fellow / 01 Post
- Essential/ Desirable Qualification:
- Essential: M.Sc. / B.E./ B.Tech with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test. OR should be registered with the University for working for a degree (Ph.D./ ME/ M.Tech)
- Age: 28 years on the day on which application is made. A small relaxation can be considered for suitably qualified and experienced candidates. if so, recommended by a selection committee. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/ OBC/ Women and Physically handicapped candidates.
- Consolidated Pay Rs. 8000/- P.M. for 1st and 2nd years + HRA , Rs. 9000/- for 3rd years onward + HRA
- Candidates must bring their original certificates and attested copies along with two testimonials of character. No objection certificate from the employer in case of employment elsewhere and experience certificate, if any.
- The above positions are purely and are co-terminus with the project/ scheme. The services of the appointed candidates will stand terminated automatically after the expiry of the project/ scheme or as indicated in the selection offer whichever is earlier and the candidates will not have any right for absorption in ICAR/ AMAAS/ MoWR.
- No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
