• Assistant Commandant General Duty:
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline of a recognized university by the Central/ State Government/ UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to 12th Std. of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
• Born between (01 Jul 1978 to 30 Jun 1987)
• Assistant Commandant (General Duty-Pilot) Candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) need not apply:
• Bachelor's degree fo a recognized university by the Central/ State Government/ UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects during graduation.
• Born between (01 Jul 1976 to 30 Jun 1989)
• Assistant Commandant (Technical):
  
• Degree in naval architecture/ marine/ mechanical/ electrical/ telecommunication & electronics/ design/ production/ aeronautical/ control engineering or equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognized by Institute of Engineers (India) or Marine engineering graduates of IMET Kolkata, OR
• Possession of Government of India, Ministry of Surface Transport Certificate of competency as 1st Class Engineer of Motorship or other similar certificate recognized by the Government, OR
• Possesses final examination certificate of the college of marine engineering under the department of surface transport, government of India, OR
• Have pased section'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of disciplines listed above at sr. no. (1)
  
• Born between (01 Jul 1973 to 30 Jun 1987)
• Last date of receipt of applications is 23.07.2007. (27.07.2007 for candidates from far-flung areas)
