Applications are invited from unmarried Male Indian Citizens for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme. Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirement and performance/willingness of the candidates. On completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules. Disciplined life, leadership qualities and professional skills imbibed during the service would stand as added advantages in acquiring second career post exit from the Navy.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

• Age: 19 to 24 years (i.e. born between 02 Aug 1984 to 01 Aug 1989; both dates inclusive)
• Educational Qualifications. Applicant should be studying in a AICTE approved College/Institution with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year (VI semester): -

Note:- Candidates in their last semester (i.e. eighth semester) or qualified their BE/B Tech degree are not eligible for this entry and need not to apply.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

• Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight,
• Eye Sight. 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.
