Details are as follows:

• Assistant Commandant (General Duty and General Duty Pilot): 40 Posts (UR 20/ SC 06/ ST 03/ OBC 11)
• Pay: Rs. 8000-13500
• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in any disciplines of a recognized university with Mathematics and Physics sub. up to class 12th std. For Pilot this sub. will be up to degree level.
• Age: Born between 01July 1983 to 30th June 1987. For Pilot Between 01st July 1981 to 30th June 1989
• Assistant Commandant (Technical): 10 Posts (UR 04/ SC 02/ ST 01/ OBC 03)
• Pay: Rs. 8000-13500
• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in naval Architecture/ Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-Communications and Electronics/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical Control Engineering or its equivalent qualification by institute recognized by AIIE or Marine Engineering graduates of IMET, Kolkata OR Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motorship or other similar from Min. of surface transport, Govt. of India OR Certificate of final exam of the college of Marine Engineering Under the Department of surface transport, Govt. of India or have passed section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers Examination in the listed disciplines above.
  
• Age: Born between 01st July 1978 and 30th June 1987
• The upper age limits are relaxable as per rules of Govt. of India.
• Last Date of receipt of applications is 16.07.2007 (20.07.2007 for candidates from far-flung areas)
