Geologists' Examination, 2007
Conditions and Eligibility:The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Geologists' Examination, 2007 commencing on 8th December, 2007 for recruitment to the posts of Geologist (Junior), Group 'A' in the Geological Survey of India, The examination will be held at various centres across the country.
- Age limits: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 42 years on 1st January, 2007. Full details of relaxation etc published in the Employment news dated 16-22 June 2007
- Educational Qualifications: A Candidates must hold:
- Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized university; or
- Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad; OR
- Master's Degree in Mineral Exploration from a recognized University.
- Address and last date of receipt of applications:
- All applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dhopur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi 110069" Either by hand or by Post/ Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 16.07.2007
