Junior Translators (CSOLS) Examination 2009




Staff Selection Commission will hold on Sunday, the 24th May, 2009, an open competitive examination all over country, for recruitment to the post of Jr. Translator (CSOLS) in the pay band of Rs. 9300-34800 plus Rs. 4200 (Grade Pay)
  • Number of Vacancies: The number of vacancies will be determined later. Reservations will be made as per Govt. orders for SC, ST, OBC, etc.
  • Age limit ( Age on 21.02.09) : Not exceeding 30 years. Usual age relaxation will be admissible to SC, ST , OBC, PH, Ex-S, etc. as per Government Orders in force.
  • Educational Qualification (As on 21.02.09)
    • Essential: Master's Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level. OR
    • Masters' Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level. OR
    • Master Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level. AND
    • Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and Vice-Versa OR Tow years experience of Translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central State Government Offices including Government of India Undertaking.
  • Fee: Rs. 100/- No Fee for SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-S.
  • Last Date: 20.03.09 (30.03.09 for candidates from far-flung areas)

Indian Forest Service Examination, 2009




The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2009 commencing from 11th July, 2009 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.
  • Conditions of Eligibility:
    • Age limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years on 1st July, 2009. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Last Date: 16.03.09 (23.03.09 for candidates from far flung areas)
